Castle Church is a Grade 2* listed building, the tower dates back to the 14th century but the main building was rebuilt in by George Scott in 1854. The North aisle was added in 1898 with the vestry being added in 1912. The majority of the windows are stained glass. There are two bells which are inoperable at present. The church is floodlit when funding permits.

We have a fairly large car park across the road about 50 metres from the church door with ample space for disabled access. Ramps and toilets for the disabled are available in church and at the Church Hall.

We have two church halls both capable of holding over 120 people with good kitchen facilities and toilets. They are both available for hire.

Inside, the church is well lit and a 'loop' system is fitted to amplify hearing aids. Audio/visual aids are used particularly at the 9.15 Family Service. We have large print hymn books for those who need them as well as printing some of the 'order of service' pages on large A3 size paper for the 6.30 pm service

Services have musical accompaniment by Electric Organ or modern music group at the 9.15 Family Service. We have an accomplished and dedicated choir.

Children are welcome and well catered for with a 'safe' area at the back of church with toys for the little ones. Groups are staffed by trained leaders who are CRB checked and work within the guideline of the Church's 'Safe From Harm' Policy.Visitors to all our services are also made very welcome and they are invited to join us, if they wish, for a cup of tea or coffe after the 9.15am and the 6.30pm services.
